Jonathan Wiggs

Co-Founder & Chief Technology Officer

Jonathan leads Outbound AI’s engineering and IT professionals and has been instrumental in establishing the tenets and framework of the company’s technology platform, real-time inference engine and Conversation AI solutions. He also oversees the maintenance and security of the company’s infrastructure and networks.

Jonathan’s career in engineering leadership spans 30 years, with a concentration in telephony, mobile communications and call center technologies. He has helped launch half a dozen Seattle-area startups, including Jott, an early mobile speech recognition company acquired by Nuance. Following the transition to Nuance, Jonathan directed the development of language models for Apple’s initial release of Siri. Prior to co-founding Outbound AI, Jonathan was Vice President of Engineering and Architecture at Avalara, where he spearheaded the ongoing advancement of cloud-based high-transaction tax compliance solutions for customers worldwide, a position he held for three years before and four years after the company’s IPO. Jonathan is an author on three U.S. patents related to speech recognition and interoperability. He completed four years of study in computer science and mathematics at Western Washington University, with an emphasis on intelligent systems and symbolic logic.
